Hello everyone, in the coming days many things will be added, but most importantly this blog will be about growing techniques, different plant profiles, sustainability practices that are easy to do, as well as, many other things that have to deal with anything you can put in the ground and grow!!



 I went to school at Oregon state university for my major in Horticulture!

Lantanas are well known to have mutations that will change the colors of the flower in different ways. These mutations can result in a phenotype that result in the picture above, as well as, full cluster of flowers being a different color than the parent plant. If the new color is one that is more aesthetically pleasing for you then you can simply propagate the lantana from cuttings and maybe even create your own new species that no one has ever seen before. At the same time, you will be letting nature do all the hard DNA manipulation work for you! This occurs naturally in lantanas, at my greenhouse where we grow thousands of lantanas every year, about one out of every thousand or so will have a natural mutation. Of course fixing the genetics for your new species is another story entirely.,
